PIV expands testing range: RAL-GZ 607/3 supplemented with 180° rotation opening position with concealed hinge side

The revision of the RAL guideline ‘RAL-GZ 607/3 Turn-and-tilt fittings’ by the Quality Association for Locks and Fittings was successfully carried out in close cooperation with the experts and committees involved. The most important point here is that it has been supplemented by the optional test range up to a 180° turn position with concealed hinge side.

In this context, the marking regulations have also been updated and adapted in line with the current RAL specifications. The Quality Association and the Velbert Testing Institute (PIV) are convinced that this revision will help to further promote quality in this area and meet current requirements and developments.

In line with the adjustments, the PIV will, of course, expand its range of tests to include the test area up to a 180° turn position. A suitable test bench has already been ordered and will be available shortly.
