PIV delighted with new test bench addition
There is great excitement at the Velbert Testing Institute (PIV) about a new addition: the endurance test bench for windows and French doors can test the swing opening position of concealed hinges up to an opening angle of 180°.
This complies with RAL-GZ607/3, which was recently amended accordingly. The new test bench therefore also meets the DOEB guideline of the Quality Association for Locks and Fittings. This enables PIV to carry out tests that go beyond the EN 13126-8:2017 standard. This standard only covers tests up to an opening angle of 90°.
With this addition, the PIV is expanding its range of services to include a further testing option that ensures the long-term functional reliability, resilience and highest quality requirements for windows.
An opening angle of up to 180° for windows and French doors is no problem for the new test bench.
