25 years at PIV: Olaf Lechte honored
Olaf Lechte (59) has been working for the Prüfinstitut Schlösser und Beschläge Velbert (PIV) for a quarter of a century. He was honored today by Stephan Schmidt, Managing Director of the Gütegemeinschaft Schlösser und Beschläge e.V., for his loyalty and conscientious performance.
“Every day is different here, which is why the work is so much fun. Then there are the colleagues who always support you. It's something special to work here, otherwise I wouldn't have been here for so long,” says Olaf Lechte.
After completing his apprenticeship as a precision mechanic, he worked for various companies in Velbert, including Schulte-Schlagbaum AG for more than ten years. He has been working for PIV since 2000. During this time, he has tested everything that has been developed in our industry in 25 years. As a result, he is extremely knowledgeable in the field of technology and is therefore the expert contact person for all colleagues, but also for customers, when questions arise.
