The Association of German Lock and Fittings Manufacturers [Fachverband Schloss- und Beschlagindustrie (FVSB)] is the association of lock and fittings manufacturers in Germany and thus the central representation of interests for companies in the industry. The association currently serves around 70 member companies with a total of over 25,000 employees and a turnover of 3 billion euros.

The FVSB has set itself the task, among other things, of regularly preparing reports for member companies on the current situation in the lock and fittings sector and forecasts, as well as providing information on introductory decrees, ordinances and changes to standards. Furthermore, the FVSB provides information on the lock and fittings industry's trade fair activities as well as in circulars and reports on the industry. The association also facilitates discussion in the respective specialist departments in order to solve product-specific issues. The association helps to shape the international interests of its member companies at European level through its membership in ARGE, the European Association of Lock and Fittings Manufacturers. The testing institute, which belongs to the Quality Assurance Association Locks and Hardware (Gütegemeinschaft Schlösser und Beschläge e. V.), provides practical tests and many years of testing experience.
